Ghent - A

  • Year: 2017
  • Wood used: Solid French Oak with a varnished finish
  • Type of balustrade: Steel spindles and handrail

The client of this staircase project wanted a black opening where the staircase would take the attentention and be the central point. That's why we created a 90° turned solid French Oak staircase with a mild steel square waxed balustrading and a forged welded handrail over the top.

The end result

The result is a stunning easy-to-use staircase with a very clean look. However, be aware that we did this project in Belgium and that the spacing between the spindles on this staircases is > 100mm - something that's not approved by the UK Building regulations.
