This solid Black American Walnut staircase is completely free standing and fully curved with 13.5 mm thick toughened and laminated safety glass panels.

All solid hardwood that we use is sourced with the required PEFC and FSC labels and is then kiln dried at our factory. This allows us to manufacture top quality staircases from almost any hardwood type. Special feature is the semi glass risers which give the staircase a very open feel compared to the standard wooden bridging mouldings. Doing so guaranteed a spectacular view on the garden through the back window when entering the house.

The end result

The end result is a stunning masterpiece that blends in with the rest of the house. The Black American Walnut used in the staircase matches perfectly with front -& internal doors. Semi glass risers are a very smart solution by Smet to comply with building regulations (no gap bigger than 100mm in  your staircase) while still giving the staircase a very open and modern feeling.
