Stairs in Progress - Chelsea - New Wave

Social Media 47.jpg

A work in progress that we would like to highlight this month is a 5-story house located in Chelsea. After previous fruitful collaborations New Wave London Ltd and Smet Staircases teamed up again. But of all projects this had to be the most challenging one.

The brief was a 4-flight staircase with a continuous handrail from top to bottom, a cut string design and a contemporary feel to it. Not only that, but the first 2 flights had to be marble clad to give an even more luxurious feel to it.

The project is nearing completion now and we have to say that it looks absolutely magnificent. The staircases are made out of solid painted Beech and we added curved wreath pieces where the staircases turn to create smooth transitions. All of this is topped off with a steel balustrade that has a bronze finish applied on site.

We are already looking forward to the next project with New Wave London Ltd. Make sure you follow us on social media or subscribe to our newsletter if you would like to see updates on this or future projects.
